I have used a feature on delicious.com which automatically posted recent links on the blog. As I’ve been posting less lately (hm – five posts or something in the last 24 hours…), there have been many links and fewer “real” posts, so to avoid letting the linking getting the better of the blog, I have decided to kill the automatic posting and replace it with a delicious-badge in the sidebar.

In case anybody wonders how I use delicious and sharing in Google Reader, the answer is that posts from rss-feeds usually end up shared on Google while one-off sites usually end up on delicious. In both cases there are unusual exceptions!

  Pension system reforms have increased individual choice and individual risk. This column says that the current crisis proves that those reforms exposed individuals to too much risk. It argues for greater use of intergenerational transfers and says that it would be better if retirement plans were treated as insurance rather than pure investment decisions.

  Den danske finanspolitik har traditionelt været kontracyklisk, dvs. bidraget til at dæmpe konjunktursvingningerne. Under den seneste højkonjunktur har det imidlertid været omvendt. Finanspolitikken har skubbet yderligere til opsvinget og er dermed en medvirkende årsag til, at økonomien er blevet presset op over sin kapacitetsgrænse. Det har godt nok bragt arbejdsløsheden ned til det laveste niveau siden begyndelsen af 1970'erne, men det er samtidig et niveau, som er så lavt, at det ikke er holdbart.
  Hvad der er det holdbare niveau, er ikke lige til at sige, men formentlig i størrelsesordenen 100.000.

  Spinguidens oversættelse: VK-regeringen har hældt benzin på økonomien de seneste år. Tingene har fået alt for meget fart på. Jeg ved godt, at den slags er populært hos vælgerne, men det er altså også usundt. Økonomen Anders Fogh Rasmussen må ryste på hovedet ad politikeren Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

• Votes and violence | vox – Research-based policy analysis and commentary from leading economists
  This column summarises results from a nationwide field experiment during the 2007 elections in Nigeria revealing that illicit tactics were rife. Incumbent politicians often used vote buying and fraud, while opposition candidates used intimidation and violence. An anti-violence informational campaign increased voter turnout 10%, suggesting that voter intimidation has large effects on turnout and may be counteracted by community campaigns.
