Maybe They Ought to Learn a Bit from Mr. Gallup
Newspaper #1, quoting an opinion poll: HELLE GETS SPANKED IN LATEST POLL. The “spanking”, in case you wonder, is a projected 91-88 majority for the governing coalition.
Newspaper #2, quoting another opinion poll: RED MAJORITY AFTER S-SF TAX PLAN ANNOUNCED. The clear majority is 50,8 against 49,2%.
And Mr. Gallup himself? He advised people to take the results of polls with a grain of salt.
My interpretation? That the two blocs are very close and if we imagined an election in late September, it would be too close to call. Which is why I don’t think we will get an election in late September. But then again, politicians occasionally do very stupid things.
