<p>But one reason any of the Fälldin governments were out of the question as <em>the</em> most right-wing government was environmental policy. We shall see what results my colleague brings out.</p>

		<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>the question is also what you consider the meaning of left and right to be. is it only socio-economic policy? what about immigration or cultural issues? the environment (that is, e. g., nuclear power in the swedish case)? surely, those might not have been as prominent issues in the late seventies as they are today, but still … see, for instance, here (p. 205) for some interesting cross-national variation:<br />
