A One-Man Alliance and a Centre from Left-Field
The PSA’s Scandinavian Politics Specialist Group page seems to have gone AWOL, but With a little help from some of his friends, Nick Aylott has made a summary of recent realignments in Danish politics, which should be available at the PSA Scandinavian Politics Specialist Group’s page any time now.
In the meantime, if you understand spoken Danish. you can listen to my colleague Flemming (Juul) Christansen discussing tendencies to party splits in Danish politics. Yes, there are more these days, but what is really new is that the centre rather than the left and right fringes appear more unstable.
Update update: Nick tells me that the PSA servers can be prone to acting up which is why the SPS group’s page hasn’t been updated with the latest newsletter. Anyway, I personally would point to this drama as a suitable substitute for the splits and reformations. The real story lies in the inability of the Social Liberals to position themselves.
