Okay: One, actually. But New Alliance minus Gitte Seeberg, minus New, minus Naser Khader

My only comment is that I can now see some kind of logic in Simon Emil Amnitzbøll appearing under a new flag – perhaps with Khader. But I think both the Samuelsen and the Amnitzbøll projects are pretty doomed.

By the way: I can’t recall any Danish party losing four out of five MPs (80 per cent) in a little over the first year of its entering the Danish parliament. The Progress Party was a pretty unstable constellation back in the 1970s but it was never that bad, relatively. The Left Socialists (VS) lost half of its group during its first term in parliament (1968-1971). I’m not quite sure about the splinter parties in the 1930s (Frit Folkeparti/Bondepartiet in particular).
