What do kids learn in school? — Vad NU!they have been interviewing 13-23 year old Danish girls about their media habbits in terms of consumption and spending. And in regards to school there were some revelations which I found alarming.
It turns out that all the IT, the schools have invested in, is being used in a counterproductive fashion. Students get assignments that are way too easy for their skill-levels, and as a result they spend endless time – in class, mind you – surfing Facebook or other social networking sites, listening to their iPod’s and send SMS’s to eachother. The only thing they don’t do, if you believe Egmonts findings, is listen to the teacher.

Amendments that restrict civil marriage rights of same-sex couples – such as Proposition 8 that recently passed in California – have led to higher levels of stress and anxiety among lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender adults, as well as among their families of origin, according to several new studies to be published by the American Psychological Association.

Leave aside that my brain doesn’t work today – this is what the blog allegedly says about me:
INTP – The Thinkers
The logical and analytical type. They are especialy attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.
They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.
