There are things which the Swedes do much better than the Danes. Take the simple task of setting up and maintaining one internet portal for the government. One that is easy to navigate, so that you can find the information you are looking for and one which keeps track of its archives.
As I said: The Swedes can do it. The Danish government’s internet presence is a total and complete mess. Surfing and searching the web pages of Danish ministries is almost like being put in a time-machine and transported back to the early days of the WWW when everybody was trying this strange new medium and usability was a town in Russia (as we say in Danish).
Why I’m p%&€#d off? I was looking for the publications of the Welfare Commission which worked from 2003 to 2005 and managed to find the final report. But despite links on the Finance Ministry’s homepage everything else has gone AWOL. Brilliant!
