Economists vs. Political Scientists – Revisited

without comments

One of my favourite shitcks when I had introductory courses in Political Science was to point out how weak PolSci theories were in predicting events. My illustration was the Minimal Winning Coalition hypothesis which explains 1/3 of government formations – and that is a good and simple hypothesis.

How well do the economists perform in comparison? Will Andreas Bergh get more than one panelist right in this prediction and who?
