    This is the saddest news!
He’s a light to our lives with his sound.
I’m really deeply sorry and no words are enough to describe this situation.
Feel like loss of a very close friend.

I’m crying heavy tears… – this is a tragic loss for the music world, for the family and friends. I was lucky enough to enjoy several of the E.S.T. concerts but this does not compensate for the loss, it makes the darkness even more dominant.
E.S.T. defined Jazz music, or even all genres of music, new. They were one of the few bands who had to bring a message accross – a message of renewal, lack of boundaries, freedom of mind and categories.
There is no vocabulary to describe the loss… – I feel as if I lost a part of myself…
May Esbjörn rest in peace and entertain our gods forever!

I’m so sad and shocked by the news of Esbjorn Svensson’s death. I would sit transfixed at an EST gig the music was just so beautiful and uplifting. It will continue to be but Esbjorn Svensson’s passing is such a terrible loss. My sympathy to his family and friends.

It’s hard to know what to say on these occasions. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe Esbjorn’s music. I had the privelege of seeing his trio five times in the last four years and it was never going to be enough. I am deeply saddened. My sympathies to his family, friends and fellow musicians. It’s a poorer world now for his passing.

What a tragic loss. EST were frequent visitors to Australia. Still find it hard to believe. I was fortunate to see them on two different occasions a few years apart and their music has grown from strength to strength. I will have to find solace in their music… god bless him and may he rest in peace leaving this world far the richer with his music.
