Observation: The US and UK internet Apple Stores are out of iPhones.
Interpretation #1: Apple is emptying stocks in order to prepare the presentation of a 3G iPhone.
Interpretation #2: Apple has underestimated demand for the existing line of iPhones in the US and UK.
I haven’t got the slightest idea – I just found the differing interpretations interesting. More often than not, you need a lot of circumstantial evidence to interpret an observation. And in any event, there are no signs that the iPhone is coming to Sweden or Denmark in the near future, but if The Steve suddenly appears in either Stockholm or Copenhagen, that would send the local rumour mills into intergalactic overdrive.
