The Monkey Cage

without comments

Despite the silly name, the Monkey Cage blog (and who am I to complain – I love a bit of silliness at regular intervals) is more often than not an interesting read for political scientists.

Today’s batch:

1) The unintended – but perhaps not surprising – consequences of abolishing affirmative action programmes in US college admissions.

2) Genes and partisanship. And, hey, who let the dogs loose?

I note that Henry Farrell’s Political Science Blog has been inactive for a little over a month. Hope to see him back soon. (Maybe I should try and see if he’s on Facebook and pester him that way? :-P )

Fredrik Reinfeldt Is the New…

with one comment

Hilmar Baunsgaard.

Oh, dear.

I didn’t dream that one up, one of my colleagues did. Maybe one difference is that Reinfeldt generally can implement his programme while Baunsgaard for a number of reasons turned out to be an inefficient prime minister and party leader.

Still, the the Conservatives get whacked yet again in another opinion poll.
