The Economist reviews one year of centre-right government in Sweden. Executive summary: Too little labour market and public sector reform, too much reliance on the economic boom. Declining economic growth is seen as a danger for the government’s strategy. The Economist isn’t too happy about Prime Minister Reinfeldt’s style, calling him more of a follower than a leader.
Compare with my review (see “Review Series” page) – executive summary: a) The Social Democrats lost the election, b) the centre-right misrepresented its policies, c) the centre-right has done a bad job presenting its policies – and discuss.
