Brad deLong Annoys Me
Post-lectural stress according to BdL is being forced to pack up:
- 1 iPhone used for lecture notes
- 1 iPod (I’m sure it’s one of the brand new models) used for recording the lecture
- 2 laptops (I wouldn’t be the least surprised if we are talking about 2 x 17″ MacBook Pros here…) used for presentations and casual web-search during class

The joke is silly, so I strongly suggest that you scroll down to where Daniel Drezner starts discussing the role of Angelina Jolie, Bono and Al Gore:
I’ve been writing an article about the rise of celebrity activism in world politics. This kind of “star power” has been around for decades now, but there is something different about the latest wave of activism. Listen to the programme here – also available as a download.PS to Finnish readers: Yes, I know the title of the post is misleading. It’s a play on how Swedes traditionally see Finland and Finnish education.

Lärarnas oro för att “förlora ansiktet” är den största rädslan bland lärarna – inte hotet och våldet. Det hävdar lärarna Mikael Arevius och Henrik Olsson, författarna bakom boken “Rädda lärare”.
