Check Before You Panic
The downward trend in shareprices on the Scandinavian stock exchanges this week has had the foreseeable consequence: A lot of talk about a coming stock-market crisis and discussions about whether private investors should sell now and leave the market.
A look at the most general of my investment funds (it’s called Selecta Europa) tells me this:

Latest buy 2007-05-28: 451,55
Start of the year 2006-12-27: 391,44
One year ago 2006-05-27: 371,89
Lowest rate 2003-02-27: 200,88 (yes, I felt p*#€”d at that point)
Rate when I started savings 2002-01-08: 337,92
I’m more concerned – for both general and personal reasons – for the never-ending upward spiral in Swedish housing prices. I fear that I will have to buy a house because I can’t afford a flat.
It’s a mad, mad world.
