Povel Ramel Dies

without comments

(No, he was not a political scientist)

Given that the Swedish conception of entertainment includes either drinking your brains out during the week-end (if you are low-brow) or attending an Ingmar Bergman production of Eugene O’Neill at Dramaten (if you are high-brow), Povel Ramel (1922-2007) was a bit of an oddity.

But to put it in the shortest possible way – he was incredibly funny, incredibly musical, incredibly productive and his career spanned almost 70 years.

The Killing Gang, Filip and Fredrik, Måns and Anders and Fredrik Lindström (wait, aren’t there any funny female Swedes?) have some hard work ahead of them.
