    Thanks for linking to my blog. The phrase “going postal” derives from a series of unrelated incidents that occurred during the 1990’s in which disgruntled U.S. postal workers went on shooting rampages at post offices. The incidents highlighted the stressful nature of working as a postal employee and led to the parodical stereotype of the “on edge” postal worker.

    I suspect it was a good thing that the Swedish Postal Service closed all post offices some years ago and outsourced the tasks to supermarkets and convenience stores… But Sweden does have an astronaut.
