    A shot version of Magnus Blomgren’s argument would be that the Swedish Social Democrats not only lost the election because the centre-right bloc had moved to the left (Torbjrn Bergman may beg to differ on that one) but also because the party – unlike the Norwegian SD – failed to produce a credible strategy for cooperation with the Left Party and the Green Party.

    (I also felt that I had to promote Magnus’s post a bit)

    Sagebro and Wing’s post is a little more complex but addresses some of the arguments the new government presented for the abolition of the tax deduction for union membership fees and the steep rise in the unemployment fee.
